Her book Rainforest Rescue received the prestigious Literary Titan Book Award, recognizing her dedication to educating and inspiring children through literature.

Wilma's background includes curriculum development, visual arts instruction, literacy education, puppetry, playwriting, and songwriting. These experiences have shaped her unique storytelling style and passion for nurturing creativity in children. She credits her best friend and husband, Bill Rogers, whose original musical compositions helped bring her video projects to life.

 

Bill is also the voice behind Professor Harvey, a beloved puppet character who makes learning math fun and engaging for young children. As the puppet master and voice actor, Bill brings Professor Harvey to life through humor, creativity, and interactive lessons that inspire a love of learning.

In addition to her work as an author, Wilma serves as Chief Operating Officer of Music & Arts Program for Youth (M.A.P.), a nonprofit organization providing music, arts, literacy, character education, and leadership programs to youth in under-resourced communities at no cost to families.

Together, Wilma and Bill are committed to expanding access to arts and cultural opportunities, helping young people discover their potential, build confidence, and become active contributors to their communities.
